The 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference was held under the chairmanship of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces. The forum paid rich tribute to the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who sacrificed their lives in the defence of the motherland.
According to ISPR, the forum acknowledged the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyrs, stating that these sacrifices will always play a vital role in Pakistan’s national security, unity, and resilience.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed that efforts will continue with full momentum to eliminate terrorist networks and destroy their supporting infrastructure. In this regard, operations against terrorists are being carried out under “Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq.”
Criticising the Afghan Taliban regime, the forum stated that under irrational and misguided policies, the regime is providing safe havens to “Khawarij” and other terrorist organisations. It was stated that supporting terrorism is against the interests of the Afghan people, and such narratives are misleading and aimed at diverting attention from internal failures.
Pakistan rejected the false allegations made by the Afghan Taliban, stating that its defensive actions are strictly targeted against terrorists and their hideouts, and no civilians are being targeted.
While reviewing the regional security situation, the forum noted that evolving geopolitical developments may significantly impact regional stability. Pakistan reiterated its responsible approach and support for regional stability and peace.
The conference emphasised that peace in the region depends on mutual restraint, responsibility, and respect for sovereignty.
Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated the nation and the Armed Forces on the completion of the anniversary of “Maarka-e-Haq,” calling it a reflection of national unity and the commitment to protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty at all costs. He stated that marking “Maarka-e-Haq” sends a clear message that the Pakistani nation remains united, strong, and fully prepared.
At the conclusion of the conference, the Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces directed commanders to maintain high levels of operational readiness in view of emerging threats and stressed the importance of professional excellence and proactive measures.
The forum also strongly condemned ongoing atrocities, extrajudicial killings, and demographic changes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It reaffirmed Pakistan’s diplomatic, political, and moral support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people.
