Web Desk: The Federal Investigation Agency extended its recruitment deadline by one week on Tuesday, moving the final date for job applications from May 4 to May 11, 2026.

Agency officials cited public interest as the primary driver for the extension, noting the move aims to facilitate candidates and ensure maximum participation in the nationwide hiring drive. The Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control issued the formal notice following reports of high traffic on the agency’s digital infrastructure.

The recruitment process, which first opened on April 19, seeks to fill 1,394 vacant positions across various departments within the agency. Despite the new submission deadline, the FIA clarified that eligibility criteria remain fixed. Consequently, the cut-off date for age calculations, educational qualifications, and professional experience remains May 4, 2026.

Prospective employees must submit their forms through the official FIA online portal. The agency emphasized that it will not accept physical applications or documents sent via post, as the process remains strictly digital to ensure transparency.

This surge in recruitment follows a broader government effort to strengthen law enforcement personnel across the country. By providing an additional seven days, officials expect to capture a wider pool of qualified applicants who may have faced technical delays or logistical hurdles during the initial window.
