CSS results 2025

The Federal Public Service Commission has announced the results of the CSS Examination 2025, revealing a very low pass rate of just 2.67%.

According to the FPSC, a total of 12,792 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which only 355 candidates managed to pass the written part. Subsequently, the commission recommended 170 candidates for appointment, including 84 men and 86 women.

As per the results, Asad Rafiq secured the first position, followed by Muhammad Mohsin Khalid in second place, while Tariq Hafeez claimed the third position.

The top 30 position holders have been allocated to the Pakistan Administrative Service and Police Service. However, notably, none of the top 30 candidates received allocation in the Foreign Service this year.

The comparatively low success rate manifests the tough competition and high evaluation standards maintained by the Federal Public Service Commission.

CSS remains the most sought-after dream for thousands of candidates from across Pakistan, but only a small fraction manages to clear the written stage, making it one of the toughest competitive exams in the country. Aspirants spend years preparing for the exam, reflecting both the prestige associated with civil services.

It is generally believed that the evolving exam pattern, strict marking criteria, and increasing number of applicants have contributed to the declining success ratio.
