Islamabad: The driving license system has been made completely “paperless”; now citizens will only need to bring their original identity card to obtain a license.

According to details, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has formally inaugurated the complete digitalization and paperless driving licensing process of the traffic police in the federal capital.

The aim of this initiative is to relieve citizens from lengthy paperwork and save their valuable time.

IG Islamabad and Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Sarfaraz Virk, while explaining the details of the new system, clarified that citizens will no longer need to bring any forms, photocopies, or passport-sized photographs. Citizens will only bring their original identity card and will be able to obtain a license.
