Foreign Linked journalist arrested by NCCIA

A self-styled journalist and foreign linked journalist based in Islamabad, Fakhar ur Rehman, has been arrested by NCCIA over anti state narrative and propagandas.

According to preliminary reports and investigations the journalist, would constantly run propaganga compaigns against the state and state institutions for a long time under the cover of free speech and journalism.

At times, he claimed Baluchistan would be handed over to Israel, at others he promoted “Fitna al-Hindustan,” and sometimes labeled the Prime Minister as fake and Pakistan’s mediation role as mere drama.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has stressed its commitment that such elements will be curbed from its rots and that no individual—whether a journalist, YouTuber, or social activist—has the right to continue promoting anti-state narratives, the statement says.

The most threatening side of the story is that the journalist would run a social media account under the name Islamabad Post which was being operated under the oversight of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Afghan elements. According to the claims, Fakhar ur Rehman had deep links with this account and is even said to be one of its administrators.

Further investigation is currently underway, and further developments are expected as authorities examine potential links and digital evidence related to the case
