Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to travel to Saudi Arabia within the next 48 hours following an invitation from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to official sources.

The visit comes at a time of ongoing regional diplomatic activity, with officials saying discussions are likely to focus on a broad range of bilateral, regional, and international issues.

Sources said the prime minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb may also join the delegation, subject to his return from an official visit to the United States.

Officials indicated that the leadership talks in Riyadh are expected to cover key geopolitical developments, particularly in light of recent diplomatic engagements involving regional powers.

The visit follows reported Iran–US talks held in Islamabad, adding to the significance of the timing of the Saudi engagement, sources said.

In addition to political and strategic matters, both sides are expected to review ongoing financial cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Officials said economic coordination remains a key pillar of the bilateral relationship, particularly as Pakistan continues efforts to stabilize its external financing position.

The upcoming visit underscores continued high-level engagement between Islamabad and Riyadh, with both countries maintaining close ties across diplomatic, economic and security domains.
