Pakistan Navy strengthens maritime defense with advanced platforms

Islamabad: The Pakistan Navy has enhanced its naval capabilities by incorporating state-of-the-art platforms and specialized technologies, aimed at effectively targeting enemy infrastructure and maritime assets.


According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a ceremony was held to induct the second PN Marjam-class corvette, PNS Khyber, into service, attended by Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Rasheed. Admiral Rasheed stated that Pakistan is located along key global energy sea routes, making maritime security a top priority.


He further emphasized that a strong naval force is crucial for protecting national interests and securing maritime trade routes.

Speaking on the Battle of Haq, the Naval Chief remarked that the Pakistan Navy was fully prepared to neutralize the Indian aircraft carrier “Vikrant”, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to respond decisively to any act of aggression.


Admiral Rasheed described PNS Khyber and the upcoming Hangor-class submarines as a solid shield for the nation’s maritime defense.

He added that the Navy’s resolve has been further strengthened to safeguard Pakistan’s maritime boundaries and sovereign waters.
