Web Desk: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced the Class 9 annual examination results on Wednesday, with more than half of the candidates failing to clear the exams.
A total of 280,676 students appeared in the examination, while 130,543 candidates were declared successful. The figures indicate a failure rate of about 53%.
The results were announced at 10 a.m. on Sept. 2 for students who appeared in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-I First Annual Examination 2026.
All nine educational boards across Punjab released their Class 9 results simultaneously. Students can access their subject-wise marks online by entering their roll numbers on the respective board websites.

Students should also check their personal information and individual subject marks carefully after accessing the result.
Meanwhile, students facing difficulties accessing the online portals can use SMS to check their results.
They should enter their complete roll number and send it to the designated code for their respective board.

Students who receive supplementary status or seek to improve their marks will not have to sit for a second annual examination, according to the information provided.
Instead, they will have the opportunity to appear in the relevant examination next year alongside the new Class 9 batch.
Such candidates will be examined under the same syllabus and examination scheme applicable to their original attempt.
