Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi has urged media outlets to act responsibly amid the sensitive regional situation, emphasizing the need for caution in reporting.

He advised that media platforms should avoid speculation and rely only on officially issued statements for accurate and timely information.

Responding to media queries regarding developments in the ongoing regional situation, the spokesperson said that several reports circulating—especially on social media—have come to their attention.

These reports falsely attribute information to so-called official sources regarding the ongoing situation and Pakistan’s efforts for peace and dialogue.

According to APP, the spokesperson categorically rejected these baseless and fabricated claims, stating that any such attribution to official sources is incorrect.

He also expressed concern that a recent Foreign Office briefing had been misrepresented, with references made to matters that were neither discussed nor mentioned.

He reiterated that in such a sensitive environment, diplomacy requires responsibility and caution. Therefore, all media platforms are requested to avoid speculation and rely solely on officially released statements and media readouts for accurate information.
