Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has rejected circulating reports about an extension in school holidays across the province, clarifying that no final decision has been made so far.
In a post on social media, he urged citizens, parents, and students not to pay attention to unverified information and fake news spreading online.
The minister stated that any announcement regarding the extension of holidays is made only through official channels. Therefore, the public should rely only on authentic platforms and government statements. He warned that spreading misinformation not only creates panic among the public but also disrupts the education system.
Rana Sikandar Hayat further added that the current situation is being continuously reviewed, and decisions will be made in the best interest of students and teachers. If any changes are required, they will be officially announced. He emphasized that maintaining continuity in education remains the government’s top priority.
Extension of holidays in Balochistan till March 31
He also noted that rumors are causing uncertainty among students and parents, which needs to be controlled.
It is worth mentioning that in recent days, various reports about a possible extension of school holidays had been circulating on social media. However, the provincial government has denied these claims and urged the public to act responsibly.
