After the globally renowned Academy Awards, a viral image from Dolby Theatre has sparked outrage on social media, showing piles of trash left on seats after the ceremony.
The image was shared by film website editor Matt Neglia, capturing the aftermath of the event. Empty snack packets, bottles, and other waste were seen scattered across the seating area—presenting a stark contrast to the glamour and prestige associated with the Oscars.
Reports suggest that guests were provided with popcorn, sweets, and water bottles at their seats. However, many attendees reportedly left these items behind after use.
As the image went viral, social media users reacted strongly. Many criticized the attendees for irresponsible behavior, questioning why people do not clean up after themselves. Others compared the scene to that of an ordinary cinema hall.
Although some users pointed out that the image was taken from the balcony section—typically occupied by general attendees—the criticism continued despite this clarification.
