The toxic and biased propaganda being spread by CNN about Imran Khan so-called solitary confinement, denial of medical treatment and “blackout” has been completely exposed by the Government of Pakistan through concrete documentary evidence and official prison records.
According to document proof, Imran Khan is not being kept in a dark cell. Instead, he has been provided an entire block consisting of 7 cells designated for 30 to 35 prisoners, including a 57×14-foot corridor, a 35×37-foot private lawn, exercise equipment, beds and other facilities. He is also being provided food of his own choice, including meat, chicken, dry fruits and mineral water.
Records also show that so far, more than 900 people, including family members, lawyers and political leaders, have met him in 198 meetings. His most recent meeting with his wife took place on August 4, 2026—the same day his sons were sitting on CNN and portraying the so-called “blackout” as a victimization issue!
Responding to the health negligence allegations officials said that along with examinations by the prison doctor three times a day, more than 30 examinations have been conducted by medical boards comprising specialists from PIMS, Shifa International, Shaukat Khanum and Al-Shifa Eye Trust. Five advanced intravitreal (Anti-VEGF) injections have been administered to treat his eye condition, and according to examinations conducted in July 2026, his health is completely stable.
The government has also rejected false propaganda about Imran Khan’s sons difficulty in Pakistani visas. According to section 12 of the NADRA Ordinance 2000, a NICOP holder does not require a visa to enter Pakistan. Only the administrative process is being used for political point-scoring.
The Jail document show that Khan has been allowed weekly meetings with his wife, with the latest meeting taking place on August 4, 2026. Prison records also cite WhatsApp and landline communication with family in Pakistan and abroad, including a call with his son on 21 March 2026
The government has maintained that global outcry over illness and victimhood is being raised solely to put international pressure on the government in an attempt to secure an NRO or deal. However, everyone is equal in the eyes of the law, and no one will be given separate legal concessions.
