Peshawar Zalmi secures key signing before PSL season

Peshawar Zalmi have signed Bangladesh’s left-arm fast bowler Shoriful Islam ahead of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).


The franchise announced this key development on social media, where Shoriful Islam was presented in Zalmi’s jersey. In its message, the team said that his inclusion has further strengthened the squad.


Shoriful Islam made his international debut in 2021 and has since become an important part of the Bangladesh cricket team. So far, he has represented his country in 14 Tests, 40 One Day Internationals, and 69 T20 matches.


In the T20 format, Shoriful Islam has shown particular skill, taking 195 wickets in 156 matches, reflecting his experience and performance.


The Peshawar Zalmi management is hopeful that his inclusion will further improve the team’s performance and help them achieve strong results in the upcoming season.


It is worth mentioning that the 11th edition of the PSL will be played from March 26 to May 3. This will be Shoriful Islam’s first appearance in the league, while Zalmi will begin their campaign on March 28 against Pindi (Rawalpindi) at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
