Following his assumption of office, Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has made his first statement, calling for the closure of all US military bases in the Middle East.

In a recorded address, Mojtaba Khamenei said that all American military bases in the region should be immediately shut down; otherwise, they could become targets.

He stated that the presence of US troops in the region is increasing tension and the risk of war, and that if these bases remain, they could face attacks.

The Iranian Supreme Leader also declared that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed and emphasized that his new position carries several important responsibilities. He said, “We must defeat our enemies.”

Mojtaba Khamenei further announced vengeance for the blood of martyrs, asserting that the Iranian people have shown the world that they are a great nation. He stressed that without the support of the public, he has no significance, while enemies continue to target the Iranian population.
