Islamabad: The Pakistan Airports Authority has rejected reports regarding any partial closure of Pakistan’s airspace, terming them false and misleading.

According to the authority, Pakistan’s airspace is fully secure and available for all types of commercial operations. It clarified that NOTAM A0134/26 does not indicate any partial closure but only reflects the temporary unavailability of certain Air Traffic Service (ATS) routes.

The authority stated that in the Karachi Flight Information Region and Lahore Flight Information Region, specific ATS routes will be affected daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. However, alternative routes and airports remain available and continue to operate as usual.

The Global PK Mobile App has also been introduced for overseas Pakistanis.

The authority further clarified that there are no restrictions on commercial flights, arrivals, departures, or overflights. It emphasized that unverified news and incorrect interpretation of NOTAMs may cause unnecessary concern among passengers and urged people to rely on official sources for accurate information.
