Flour prices surge again amid increasing demand

Flour prices increase

In Peshawar, flour prices have once again increased, adding to the financial strain on residents of the provincial capital.

According to the Flour Dealers Association, the price of a 20kg bag of mixed flour has risen from Rs 2,400 to Rs 2,500. Similarly, a 20kg bag of fine flour has increased from Rs 2,600 to Rs 2,700 in the local market.

According to reports , the association attributed the fluctuation in prices to a surge in demand, which has disrupted market stability. The latest hike has further burdened citizens already struggling with rising living costs.

It is worth noting that prior to the start of Ramadan, flour prices had also surged in major cities including Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi, reflecting a broader trend of price increases across the country.
