⏱ 2 minute read
Pakistan strikes on Kandahar

Pakistan Security Forces carried out coordinated strikes against multiple forward posts of the TTA along the Pak-Afghan border in response to hostilities initiated by the TTA on 26 February 2026. The operation focused on degrading militant capabilities and destroying infrastructure used for attacks against Pakistani positions.

During the day, six additional TTA posts were destroyed through heavy weapons fire across different sectors. In the Zinda Sector of North Waziristan, TTA forces attempted to regroup and build up strength, but their movement was effectively neutralized through precise and sustained fire. Attempts by militants to engage with small-arms fire from distance were also suppressed through coordinated mortar, tank, and artillery strikes.

Security sources confirmed that ten air strikes were conducted at various depth locations to target militant hideouts and military infrastructure in order to disrupt command, control, and logistical support networks.

According to confirmed assessments, further casualties and damage were inflicted on TTA and affiliated elements. No casualties were reported among Pakistan Security Forces across the entire front.

Confirmed Losses (TTA)
Killed: 458
Injured: 700+
Posts destroyed: 202
Posts captured: 33
Tanks / APCs / Vehicles destroyed: 196
Air-targeted locations: 53

In several sectors, TTA fighters reportedly raised white flags indicating a desire for de-escalation. In the Ghudwana Enclave (32 sq km area) in Zhob Sector, Pakistan forces firmly maintain control. Nearby militant posts have reportedly been vacated, and heavy machinery is being used to construct a 7-kilometer defensive trench to consolidate the secured territory.
