Amid the ongoing war and rising tensions between Iran and Israel, security sources have stated that Pakistan’s policy remains balanced and responsible in light of the evolving regional situation.
Security officials said Pakistan’s approach toward Iran is well-balanced and that the country is navigating the situation carefully. They emphasized that as a nuclear state, Pakistan cannot afford unnecessary confrontation, adding that any actor engaging in aggression would face consequences.
Officials also stated that Iran should exercise its right to defend itself but avoid targeting friendly countries, reiterating that Pakistan is not the next target and that Pakistan is neither Afghanistan nor Iran.
Security sources clarified that Pakistan does not want to become part of any unnecessary escalation in the region. Pakistan is a responsible state that respects international principles and diplomatic norms. In this context, Iran has the right to defend itself, but actions that may affect the security of friendly nations should be avoided.
Officials also referred to recent developments, noting that Pakistan has launched operations such as “Ghazab-ul-Haq” against Afghanistan, as mentioned in security briefings. They stressed that Pakistan’s defense capabilities are strong and fully prepared to address any potential threats.
Sources further stated that while Iran thanked Pakistan at the United Nations, Pakistan continues to monitor the regional situation closely.
Strengthening internal stability remains a priority. Pakistan has consistently supported dialogue, restraint, and diplomatic solutions and will continue to follow this policy to promote peace and stability in the region.
