Islamabad: The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the statement issued by India following the terrorist incident in Balochistan validates Pakistan’s position.

During the weekly media briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that the Prime Minister visited Qatar from February 23 to 24 at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar. The Qatari leadership expressed a desire to elevate economic partnership with Pakistan to a higher level.

The Qatari Minister of Defense and Minister of State also met the Prime Minister during the visit.

He further informed that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is currently visiting Saudi Arabia, where he will participate in the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah on February 26. The emergency session will deliberate on the illegal decisions taken by Israeli occupying authorities.

According to the spokesperson, Ishaq Dar will present Pakistan’s stance regarding Israeli measures to convert the occupied West Bank into so-called state land. On the sidelines of the meeting, he will also hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of OIC member states.

The spokesperson also noted that this month marks the 19th anniversary of the attack on the Samjhauta Express, in which more than 70 lives were lost. He claimed that Swami Aseemanand had publicly confessed to involvement in the attack, and that Indian Colonel Purohit had also admitted his role. However, the four individuals allegedly involved in the Samjhauta Express case are still at large, and India has failed to bring them to justice.

The Foreign Office spokesperson strongly rejected the statement issued by India’s Ministry of External Affairs, stating that India’s remarks following the Balochistan terrorist attack confirm Pakistan’s position.
