Colombo: In the ICC T20 World Cup Super Eight stage, the match between Pakistan national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team was called off due to rain.

Not a single ball could be bowled because of the weather conditions. As a result, both teams were awarded one point each.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan’s second Super 8 match will be played against England cricket team on Tuesday at Pallekele.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha had won the toss and invited the Mitchell Santner-led XI to bowl first. Fakhar Zaman was included in the national side in place of Khawaja Nafay.

Salman Agha had stated that the team would try to post a good total and then defend it.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand team had made three changes to their lineup.
