As Ramadan approaches, many people across Pakistan are wondering what kind of weather they will experience during the holy month. The Meteorological Department has now provided a clear forecast for the first ten days of Ramadan — and it appears the weather will remain mostly hot and dry.

In an exclusive conversation with Samaa TV, Deputy Director Irfan Warraich stated that there is currently no indication of rainfall during the first Ashra (ten days) of Ramadan. According to the forecast, temperatures in Islamabad are expected to stay below 30°C, while hotter conditions are likely in Sindh and southern Punjab, where temperatures could rise up to 35°C.

However, before Ramadan officially begins, parts of the country may witness a spell of rain. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted rainfall in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa starting tonight. Thunderstorms are expected to continue until Tuesday in areas including Kurram, Bannu, North Waziristan, South Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan, where hailstorms are also possible.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has also warned that a new weather system is likely to enter the western parts of the country on February 16. As a result, rain is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, and Pishin on February 16 and 17.
On February 17, coastal and southern cities including Karachi, Gwadar, Pasni, Hyderabad, Thatta, and Sukkur may also experience rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.

Overall, while some regions may receive rainfall just before Ramadan begins, the first ten days of the holy month are expected to remain largely warm and dry across most parts of the country.
