Shadab Khan shines as Sydney Thunder beat Brisbane Heat

SYDNEY: Sydney Thunder defeated Brisbane Heat, securing their first win of the season. The Pakistani player Shadab Khan played a decisive role with the ball in this victory.

Brisbane Heat was chasing a target of 194. They were unable to repeat their record-breaking chase of 258 from earlier this week. Shadab Khan played a decisive role by taking 4 wickets in 24 balls in four overs.

The leading scorer for Brisbane Heat was Matt Renshaw, who scored a century in his previous match. He made 43 runs off 28 balls. Renshaw struck one six and four boundaries during his innings. He was dismissed by Shadab.

The chase ofthe Brisbane Heat started positively. Jack Wildermuth and Colin Munro scored 37 runs in 4.4 overs. Their progress was halted by Shadab Khan, by dismissing both batters in the same over.

Wildermuth was dismissed for 15, while Munro was caught out after scoring 18. After five overs, Heat was reduced to 38 for 2.

Hugh Weibgen then rebuilt the inningsof Renshaw. The pair then proceeded to add 70 runs from 4 balls. This took Heat past the 100-run mark. They kept the chase alive against the Sydney Thunder.

Again, Shadab Khan proved to be decisive. He dismissed Renshaw and provided Thunder with a breakthrough. Shortly after that, Weibgen was also bowled out by Daniel Sams.

By 14.3 overs, Heat went from 108 for 3 to 115 for 4. Brisbane Heat lost momentum in the chase.

This was a very important victory for the Sydney Thunder after consecutive defeats.
