Three BLA terrorists killed by security forces in Balochistan

Security forces in Balochistan killed three militants in an operation against the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

A group of six to eight militants were stopped according to sources. As the militants were running low on ammunition the commander of the group ordered the others to retreat.

To prevent further attacks in the area, security has been increased, and helicopters have been deployed to track the fleeing militants.

Over the last few months, the security situation is Balochistan has worsened. Militants have stepped up frequency and intensity of their attacks who were long involved in low-level insurgency. Recently in Nokundi a town in Chagai district, the Frontier Corps headquarters came under attack.

A crackdown was launched by Balochistan government against 300 suspected terrorists after this. The also decided to approach Interpol to apprehend leaders of militant organizations residing outside of Pakistan.

The home department was instructed by CM Bugti to enforce new ant-terrorism laws, to activate the specialized cell set up under the plan, and compile and list of facilitators and leaders and to ensure that evidence is part of the official record.

The provincial government, in coordination with the centre, to initiate strong legal action would present evidence at international forums as stated by CM Bugti.

He said, “Eliminating the elements challenging the writ of the state has become inevitable and has entered a decisive stage,”.
