Speaking at the event, General Mirza said the world around us is changing at an unimaginable pace, and these shifts are leaving a profound impact on both internal and external challenges. He noted that the effects range from hybrid confrontations to full-scale warfare.

General Mirza stressed that in such circumstances, Pakistan’s armed forces must remain prepared with greater harmony, joint cooperation, and unified purpose. He said he considers inter-service coordination, joint strategy, and collaboration not merely desirable, but an essential requirement.

He described this approach as a necessary organisational reform to meet future challenges effectively. Emphasising the need for a fully empowered and capable military, General Mirza said such a force is vital for the country’s security system. He added that the armed forces must be equipped with integrated strategies to prepare for future wars.

General Mirza extended his best wishes and prayers for all three services, especially the Joint Staff Headquarters. He said that whatever structure is adopted going forward, it must fulfil its new responsibilities with honesty and determination.
