LAHORE: Ayesha Azhar, the young social media star who rose to fame after her viral dance to the song Mera Dil Ye Pukaray Aaja, has revealed that she failed her matriculation exams three times before finally passing on her fourth attempt.

Ayesha became an overnight sensation in November 2022 when a dance video from a wedding event brought her sudden fame. Her performance on the popular song quickly spread across social media, earning her recognition on TikTok and Instagram.

She is now trying to build a career in modelling and remains active on social media. In a recent interview on a private TV show, Ayesha reflected on her school years, sharing that she consistently struggled with her studies.

According to her, she lacked academic aptitude, which led to repeated failures. However, she continued attempting the exams at the insistence of friends and eventually completed her matric.

Ayesha added that she is not confident about continuing her education, as modelling has become her true passion. She said she has taken a break from studies and wants to devote her time and energy entirely to her modelling career.

She also revealed that she was only 14 years old when her video first went viral, and she is now 18.
