According to sources, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi will attend the event as the chief guest. The final of the Rising Stars Asia Cup is scheduled for 23 November in Doha, with India’s A team expected to be one of the finalists.
Sources added that, similar to the main Asia Cup, the Rising Stars final could once again feature Pakistan Shaheens against India A. It is worth recalling that during the Asia Cup ceremony in September, the Indian team refused to receive the trophy from ACC President Mohsin Naqvi, after which the trophy has remained in the ACC office. The council has since offered India the opportunity to collect it at a formal event.
