Web Desk: Security forces carried out a UCAV strike on Saturday in the Akbar Khan Kalley area of Bannu, where officials said a redundant compound was being used as a headquarters by militant fighters. According to security sources, the location in the Domel region had been under observation for nearly a month as part of an ongoing surveillance and targeting effort.

Militants Gather Before Strike

Officials reported that between 15 and 20 militants were typically present inside the compound. They added that on 15 November, shortly before the strike, four to five additional individuals were seen entering the building, bringing the estimated total to around 14 to 16 fighters inside at the time.

UCAV Strike Conducted

The unmanned combat aerial vehicle strike was executed at afternoon today. Security sources said the operation killed an estimated 13 to 15 militants. They noted that the strike was limited to the targeted structure, and no damage was observed to surrounding buildings.

Aftermath and Assessment

Authorities said post-strike assessments were ongoing, and further details would be shared as they became available. The operation marks the latest in a series of actions aimed at disrupting militant activity in the region.
