Security forces continued a carefully planned rescue operation at Cadet College Wana on Tuesday after militants linked to Afghan extremists reportedly infiltrated the campus, security sources said.

Fresh video footage from the scene showed security personnel leading students to safety. According to security officials, 350 people have been rescued so far, and all cadets remain safe. The operation began early Tuesday after militants were spotted inside the college premises.

Forces Proceed With Caution

Sources said the Inspector General of Frontier Corps (South) is personally supervising the ongoing operation. Around 300 people are still inside the college, prompting security forces to proceed with maximum caution to avoid civilian casualties.

“The lives of cadets are our top priority,” a security official told Reuters. “Given the presence of Afghan militants inside the facility, the operation is being carried out with extreme precision and patience.”
