Trump claims Pakistan downed India's eight aircrafts

MIAMI: US President Donald Trump claimed that eight aircraft were shot down during the Pakistan-India conflict.

Speaking at a business forum in Miami, Trump said he had read reports in various newspapers suggesting that seven or eight planes were downed. “One newspaper wrote that seven aircraft were shot down, another reported one loss. I won’t name any publication, but most of them spread fake news,” he remarked.

Reiterating his earlier assertion, Trump claimed that in reality, eight aircraft were indeed downed during the war.

The US President once again took credit for halting the conflict, stating that he helped stop the war between the two nuclear-armed nations through the use of tariffs.
