Babar Azam sets new record in T20 Internationals

LAHORE: Pakistan’s star cricketer Babar Azam has achieved another remarkable milestone in his career as he has set a new record in T20 Internationals.

Babar has now become the player with the most 50-plus scores in T20 International cricket, surpassing Indian batsman Virat Kohli’s record. Kohli had scored 39 fifties in the format, while Babar reached his 40th during the third T20 match against South Africa.

The Pakistani skipper played a brilliant knock of 68 runs off 47 balls, leading his team to victory and cementing his place as one of the finest T20 batsmen in the world.

Babar Azam, Pakistan’s star batter and one of the finest cricketers of the modern era, has achieved remarkable milestones across all formats of the game. Known for his elegant stroke play and consistent performances, he has captained Pakistan in all three formats and remains among the top-ranked batters in the ICC rankings.

Babar holds the record for being the fastest player to reach 1,000 runs in T20 Internationals and has now become the player with the most fifty-plus scores in T20I history. He has also scored centuries against top teams in Tests and ODIs, proving his versatility and class.

With multiple ICC awards, records, and match-winning innings to his name, Babar continues to be the backbone of Pakistan’s batting lineup and a global ambassador of Pakistan cricket.
