Lahore: Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and choose to field first against South Africa in the third Twenty20 International on Saturday, aiming to restrict the hosts to a manageable total.

Strategy to Contain South Africa

Speaking at the toss, Salman said his team would look to build on its strong performance in the previous match. “The boys played well in the second T20. Our goal today is to keep South Africa’s score as low as possible,” he added.

Team Changes and Debut Opportunity

Pakistan made a few key changes to their playing XI. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi returned to the lineup, while spinner Usman Tariq earned his T20 debut cap. Naseem Shah and leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed were rested for the game. Salman said the inclusion of fresh players was part of the team’s rotation strategy to test bench strength ahead of upcoming series.

Building Momentum Ahead of Future Tours

Pakistan is looking to maintain momentum after a balanced performance in the previous encounter, where both the batting and bowling departments delivered consistent results. The team management hopes the blend of experience and youth will provide depth and flexibility as they prepare for future international commitments.

South Africa, meanwhile, will seek to continue their strong home record and capitalize on local conditions.
