Pakistan grants visas to over 2,100 Sikh pilgrims

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has issued more than 2,100 visas to Sikh pilgrims from India to attend the Birth Anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Pakistan from November 4 to 13, 2025.

During their visit, the pilgrims will pay homage at several revered sites, including Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Panja Sahib, and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib.

Charge d’Affaires Saad Ahmad Warraich extended his warm greetings to the pilgrims, wishing them a spiritually enriching journey. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating visits to sacred sites in line with the country’s long-standing dedication to interfaith harmony and cultural understanding.

The visa issuance falls under the Bilateral Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines, signed between Pakistan and India in 1974.
