Indian Media’s False Claims on Pak-Saudi Defense Pact exposed

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has exposed the malicious propaganda spread by Indian media regarding the Pak-Saudi defense agreement.

According to the ministry, Indian “Godi media” fabricated a false narrative about Pakistan sending 25,000 troops to Saudi Arabia and assisting in the establishment of air defense and rocket command systems.

Indian website Firstpost falsely claimed that under the agreement, Saudi Arabia would also purchase Chinese JF-17 or J-10 fighter jets, invest $10 billion in Pakistan, and cooperate on Afghan-India affairs.

However, the official joint statement issued on September 17, 2025, between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia clearly stated that “an act of aggression against one country shall be considered an act of aggression against both.” No operational details of the agreement were released.

International media reports also made no mention of any troop deployment, figures, or command structures. Both Pakistani and Saudi governments have not confirmed any details regarding troop numbers or deployment.

The claim of 25,000 troops was based on unverified speculation and false narratives pushed by Indian outlets. Once again, the fabricated reporting of India’s mainstream media has been exposed as a deliberate attempt to sow regional discord.
