ATC Orders Blocking of Aleema Khan’s CNIC and Passport, Freezing of Bank Accounts

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has ordered the blocking of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan’s national identity card and passport, along with the freezing of her bank accounts, after she failed to appear before the court despite arrest warrants.

The hearing was held by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah in connection with the November protest case registered at the Sadiqabad Police Station, Rawalpindi. Ten accused appeared before the court, while Aleema Khan remained absent.

The court confiscated her surety bond and ordered the seizure of property submitted by her guarantor, who was also declared absconding.

The ATC directed the Director General of NADRA to block Aleema Khan’s CNIC, the Director General of Passports to block her passport, and the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan to freeze all her bank accounts.

The judge remarked that the accused is seen everywhere but does not appear in court, emphasizing that her presence must be ensured at all costs. The hearing was adjourned till Monday, October 27.
