LAHORE: The Punjab government’s flagship initiative, “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar,” is rapidly changing lives as thousands of families begin to realize their dream of owning a home. Under the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the ambitious plan aims to provide homes to 500,000 families within five years.
Secretary Housing, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, personally visited several beneficiaries to congratulate them on receiving their new homes. He also presented special gifts sent by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to families who successfully completed the construction of their houses.
“We never imagined we would own a house of our own,” said one of the new homeowners with tears of joy. “We are deeply grateful to Maryam Nawaz Sharif for launching such a truly people-centered initiative.” Many families expressed heartfelt prayers and appreciation for the Chief Minister’s efforts to make homeownership a reality for low-income citizens.
During his visit, Secretary Mengal praised the families who completed and beautified their homes, declaring them ambassadors of the program. He encouraged them to spread awareness among other deserving families about the benefits of this transformative housing initiative. Mengal also announced that families who create attractive facades will soon receive special rewards.
“Our goal is to reach every family that dreams of owning a home,” he said. “Each completed house stands as a shining example of the success of this program.”
