Ashab Irfan Reaches Final of Vancouver Men’s Open Squash Tournament

KARACHI: Pakistani squash player Ashab Irfan has made history by reaching the final of the Vancouver Men’s Open Squash Tournament — his first-ever appearance in a PSA World Series final.

In a gripping semi-final clash, Irfan defeated England’s second-seeded Adrian Waller after an intense 68-minute battle. The match ended with scores of 8-11, 11-8, 3-11, 11-5, and 11-8 in favor of the Pakistani player, marking one of the biggest wins of his professional career.

Irfan will now face England’s sixth seed, Sam Todd, in the championship match.

The Vancouver Open is part of the PSA World Series circuit and carries a total prize purse of 31,250 US dollars.
