The price of gold again recorded a big increase today, due to which the price of gold per towel reached a new high. According to the media report, the new global price reached the level of $4,016 as the price of gold per ounce increased by $21 on Saturday in the international billion market today. As a result of the high price of gold in the global market, the price of 24 carat gold per tola in the local currency markets also increased byRs 2100 to the level of Rs 4lakh 22thousand 700. Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams in the country increased by 1800rupees to the level of 3lakh 62thousand 397rupees. According to experts, gold is considered a safe asset in the current circumstances, and the price of gold in the global market may soon cross $5,000 per ounce. The reasons for this surge in gold prices include weakness of the US dollar, purchases by central banks globally, political uncertainty, and partial government shutdown in the US. Experts also see the freezing of Moscow's assets after the Russian attacks on Ukraine as one of the reasons for the rise in gold prices in the global market. The United States ranks first in the world in terms of gold reserves, while China holds this honor in Asia, India ranks eighth globally and second in Asia, Pakistan is 49th in the world list. According to the report, the United States, Germany and Italy are the top gold reserves, China and India have the highest gold reserves in Asia. According to the World Gold Council, central banks in different countries purchased more than 1,000 metric tons of gold in 2024, nearly double the average annual purchases of the previous decade.
