Web Desk: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has released the official anthem for its 11th edition, as preparations continue for the start of the tournament later this month, organisers said.

The new anthem features vocals from prominent Pakistani artists Atif Aslam, Aima Baig, and the Sabri Sisters. The track carries the theme “Beat pe khelain ge” (We will play on the beat), reflecting the league’s focus on energy, entertainment, and competitive spirit.

Organisers said the anthem aims to capture the excitement surrounding one of Pakistan’s most-watched sporting events, which blends cricket with music and popular culture.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, PSL 11 is scheduled to begin on March 26 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. The opening phase of the tournament will feature matches across multiple venues, with Lahore and Karachi expected to host 22 matches each.

Officials said final scheduling adjustments are being reviewed to ensure smooth logistics and accommodate broadcast and security arrangements ahead of the opening fixture.

Franchises have once again assembled squads featuring a mix of local and international talent, a hallmark of the league since its inception.

Early squad announcements indicate participation from several overseas players across teams, including England, Australia, West Indies, New Zealand, South Africa, and Afghanistan. These international cricketers are expected to strengthen franchises and add depth to the competition alongside Pakistan’s domestic stars.

Franchise line-ups traditionally include high-profile names such as England’s limited-overs specialists, Australian power hitters, Caribbean all-rounders, and emerging Afghan spin bowlers, although final playing elevens will be confirmed closer to the tournament start.

Organisers confirmed that full squad lists will be updated as teams finalise availability and replacement players ahead of the opening matches.

Lahore and Karachi will serve as the primary hosts for PSL 11, each staging 22 matches throughout the tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board said the scheduling structure has been designed to balance travel demands while maximising fan attendance and broadcast reach.

Officials added that contingency planning remains in place for potential adjustments, though no major rescheduling has been announced so far.

As anticipation builds, the league’s organisers say they expect strong domestic and international viewership, with the newly released anthem forming the centrepiece of the tournament’s promotional campaign.
