PTI announces resignation from Punjab Standing Committee

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced its resignation from the Punjab Standing Committees. According to party chairman Barrister Gohar, PTI founder Imran Khan has issued a directive to vacate the committees immediately. Sources say that at the same time, reports of massive changes are also circulating in the central leadership of PTI. It is reported that Roof Hassan is likely to be appointed as Secretary Information in place of Sheikh Waqas Akram, while some reports are also suggesting that Barrister Gohar is also expected to be removed from his post. Sources said that the possibility of appointing Junaid Akbar as the caretaker chairman of the Tehreek-e-Insaf is under consideration. Sources further say that important decisions related to central leadership can also be taken after the expected change in the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It may be recalled that yesterday Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur announced his departure in the wake of the orders of the founder of PTI and sent his resignation to Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi.
