Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has given the Palestinian resistance group Hamas until 6 pm on Sunday to respond to his proposed 20-point Gaza plan.
In a statement shared on social media, Trump warned that if Hamas fails to accept the agreement, it will face action “like nothing ever seen before.”
The US president said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had already accepted his peace proposal, calling it a “historic day for peace.”
Trump further stated that other countries had also signed onto the deal, adding that if Hamas rejects it, the group would face “serious consequences.”
He urged Hamas to agree to the plan, saying this would also save the lives of its fighters.
The US president also appealed to civilians in Gaza, advising them to leave Gaza City and move to safer areas to avoid harm.
According to reports, Trump’s 20-point Gaza plan includes the disarmament of Hamas, an immediate ceasefire, a full exchange of prisoners for hostages, a phased withdrawal from Gaza, and the creation of a transitional administration to manage the territory after the conflict.
