Multiple PTI leaders declared proclaimed offenders in May 9 case

Web desk: The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court declared 18 accused, including senior PTI leaders, as proclaimed offenders in 12 cases related to the May 9 violence, including the GHQ attack case, after they failed to appear before the court.

The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court heard 12 cases related to the May 9 incidents, including the GHQ attack case. The court declared 18 accused, including senior PTI leaders, as proclaimed offenders.

Those declared absconders include Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, Rashid Shafiq, Kanwal Shauzab, Bilal Ejaz, and Ahmad Chattha. These individuals had earlier been convicted in the May 9 cases.

Special Court Judge Amjad Ali Shah completed the proceedings to declare them proclaimed offenders and separated their cases. The court ordered that the accused be arrested and produced before the court.
