Poland announces $100 million investment in Pakistan

WEBDESK: Poland has announced an investment of more than $100 million in Pakistan’s oil and gas sector.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Poland’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Maciej Pisarski, on Wednesday.

The ambassador said Poland wants to expand cooperation beyond energy and is also exploring partnerships in other sectors. He added that a high-level Polish delegation will soon visit Pakistan to discuss future projects.

The meeting highlighted the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which is working to create a favourable environment for foreign investors. Both sides agreed that cooperation under the SIFC could further strengthen trade and economic relations.

Ambassador Pisarski said Warsaw views Pakistan as an important regional partner and is committed to a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership.

Minister Aurangzeb welcomed Poland’s interest and assured full government support. He noted that Pakistan is seeking partnerships in renewable energy, technology, agriculture, and infrastructure.
