Web desk: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was questioned inside Adiala Jail by a team from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) regarding the use of social media accounts, as per high-level sources.
According to details, the team, led by Additional Director, along with two sub-inspectors, visited the jail to interrogate Khan on the matter.
Officials said Khan appeared stubborn and uncooperative during the session, refusing to answer questions. He became agitated, banged on the door and shouted in an attempt to leave the room.
During the exchange, Khan alleged that Additional Director had come on “someone’s agenda” to build fake cases against him, referring also to the Cypher Case. He went on to say, “I don’t want to see him as he has a dead conscience.”
When asked about the operators of his social media accounts, Khan said he would not share any names, claiming that the handler “will then get abducted.”
He added that there was “not a specific messenger” and explained that after being kept in isolation, whenever he met anyone, he would convey a message which was then paraphrased and shared with his social media teams.
The NCCIA team also questioned Khan about the alleged involvement of a foreign national, Jibran Ilyas, in running his account. Khan denied this.
When the officials countered whether agencies like “CIA, RAW or Mossad” were involved, Khan became visibly angry and replied, “Jibran is more patriotic than you. You know very well who is with Mossad. Those people are treating Pakistan like an enemy, and they are the biggest dictators.”
In response to questions about chaos being spread through his accounts, Khan rejected the accusation.
He insisted he was not creating unrest and remarked that “Pakistan should have never jumped into a foreign war.”
He further said that nobody wants the operations, neither the KP public nor the Afghan, and the KP gov and KP police are suffering the most.
