Samiya Hijab forgives Hassan Zahid, drops charges

Influencer Samiya Hijab has reconciled with her alleged kidnapper and ex-fiance, Hassan Zahid.

The court has issued notices to the parties on Zahid’s bail applications.

The hearing on the bail pleas has been adjourned until September 15th.

According to reports, Samia Hijab and Hassan Zahid have already reached a settlement now she will record a sworn statement and testimony before the court.

Backstory

Samiya alleged that she was engaged to Hassan, but following his abusive behaviour, she declined to marry him. After refusing him, he gave her death threats and physically abused her many times.

She also posted a video of Hassan trying to kidnap her infront of her home.

In a video statement, the influencer said her life was in serious danger and appealed for immediate police protection.

Samiya said, “If I had been murdered like my friend Sana Yousuf, people would have shown sympathy, but since I’m alive, they are making allegations.”

She clarified that even if a woman is married, no one has the right to use force, violence, or attempt to kidnap her, and her relationship with Hassan Zahid had ended.

She added that she is under severe mental stress and urged people not to judge her without knowing the full truth, expressing hope for justice. 

Later, Hassan got arrested by the Islamabad Police.
