WEBDESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast another spell of rain in Karachi and several other parts of the country in the coming days.
In Karachi, the monsoon spell is forecast to continue until 30 September. The Met Office said the city’s weather will remain hot and humid in the coming days, with chances of drizzle or light rain. The next spell of showers could occur within five days.
Sea breeze has resumed in Karachi with wind speed at 15 km per hour. The humidity level stands at 85 percent, which may help sudden cloud formation.
Rain forecast for Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, Upper Punjab
Rain is also likely in Islamabad at a few places. Showers are expected in Murree, Galiyat, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat and Jhelum. In southern Balochistan, partly cloudy weather is expected.
Rain and thunderstorms are also possible in Kohistan, Swat, Battagram, Dir and Abbottabad. In Gilgit-Baltistan, hot and dry weather is expected. In Azad Kashmir, some areas may see thunderstorms with rain.
In flood-hit districts of Punjab, hot and dry weather is likely to continue for the next few days. Over the past 24 hours, most areas remained hot and dry, though light rain was recorded in Thatta and Lasbela.
According to the Met Office, most parts of the country are expected to remain hot and dry today. However, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas may see partly cloudy weather with chances of rain and thunderstorms by evening or night.
