WEBDESK: The Ministry of Water Resources has said that Tarbela Dam has been at full capacity since 27 August.
In a statement, the ministry confirmed that Mangla Dam is currently 93 per cent full, with only six feet of storage left.
The Federal Flood Commission has also issued several warnings about river levels across the country.
According to the statement, water flow at the Panjnad Barrage on the Chenab River has reached an exceptionally high flood level. A moderate flood is under way at Guddu Barrage on the Indus River, with forecasts suggesting a very high flood in the next 48 hours.
Elsewhere, the Ravi River is experiencing a high flood at Sidhnai, while the Sutlej River has moderate flooding at Sulemanki and Islam Headworks.
Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely as flood risks remain high in several river systems.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has reported a very high flood level in the Chenab River.
According to a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the water flow at Panjnad reached 679,290 cusecs at 9am on Friday.
