Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a campus event at Utah Valley University in Orem.

Video from the scene shows a single shot and a crowd in panic. US President Donald Trump announced Kirk’s death and asked supporters to pray.

Kirk was speaking under a white tent during a Turning Point USA debate.

A question about mass shootings came just before the attack. Footage verified by the Associated Press places the shooting at the Sorensen Center courtyard on campus.
