Young Cricketers to Be Awarded Educational Scholarships

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and a private educational institution have signed an agreement to provide educational scholarships to emerging cricketers. The signing ceremony, held at the PCB headquarters, was graced by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi as the chief guest.

Under this partnership, 120 promising players from 16 regions across the country—representing the Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19 categories—will receive free education. The scholarship program will remain in effect for three years.

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the initiative will help young cricketers balance their academic and sporting pursuits. He said that the partnership will yield long-term benefits and ensure that future cricket stars are well-equipped both on and off the field.

Naqvi added that the PCB plans to expand the scope of the scholarship program in the coming years to include more talented players nationwide. “This partnership is undoubtedly a step toward a brighter future for young cricketers,” he remarked.

The ceremony was also attended by Pakistan White-Ball Team Head Coach Mike Hesson, Director of Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi, GM Domestic Cricket Junaid Zia.
