Xiaomi’s 17 Pro Max carries a 7,500 mAh battery and both phones feature rear secondary screens for camera selfies and quick controls.
Dual displays enable main camera selfies, quick notifications, and retro gaming
Xiaomi introduced two flagships in China that place a second screen next to the main cameras.
The 17 Pro uses a 2.7 inch panel with a 120 hertz refresh rate and peak brightness of three thousand five hundred nits.
It lets users frame rear camera selfies, control music, check calls and alerts, and run timers. With a retro case accessory, it can even play classic style games.
On the front, the 17 Pro offers a 6.3 inch LTPO display that adapts from one to one hundred twenty hertz and reaches the same brightness.
The larger 17 Pro Max moves to a 6.9 inch LTPO panel with twelve bit color and an even bigger 2.9 inch rear screen. Both phones carry an IP-68 rating.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powers fast performance with generous memory and cooling
Both models run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The 17 Pro ships with twelve or sixteen gigabytes of LPDDR5X memory and storage from two hundred fifty six gigabytes to one terabyte on UFS 4.1.
The 17 Pro Max starts at five hundred twelve gigabytes and also offers a one terabyte option.
Xiaomi uses vapor chamber cooling, sized at four thousand six hundred thirty seven square millimeters on the 17 Pro and five thousand five hundred thirty three on the Pro Max.
Color options include black, white, green, and purple on both.
Leica tuned triple cameras, rapid charging, and clear pricing tiers
The camera system includes a fifty megapixel Light Fusion 950L main sensor with optical stabilization, a fifty megapixel ultra wide, and a fifty megapixel front camera.
Telephoto hardware differs across the two. The 17 Pro uses a fifty megapixel periscope with five times optical zoom and close focus at twenty centimeters.
The Pro Max fits a larger half inch sensor behind a brighter five times lens, while its tele macro works at thirty centimeters.
The 17 Pro packs a six thousand three hundred mAh cell, while the Pro Max steps up to seven thousand five hundred.
Both support one hundred watt wired charging, fifty watt wireless charging, and reverse charging.
Prices start at seven hundred dollars for the 17 Pro and eight hundred forty for the 17 Pro Max.
