WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that will automatically replace blank profile icons with photos from the user’s phone contacts.
According to international news agencies, after this update, if a user hasn’t set a display picture (DP), WhatsApp will show the contact’s saved photo instead of the default silhouette, making it easier to identify chats.
The update also includes multi-account support, AI-powered photo editing, and smart suggested replies. Users can now easily switch between multiple accounts on a single device.
Additionally, transferring chat history between iOS and Android is now possible without a cable, making device changes much easier.
However, experts caution that using contact photos could raise data privacy concerns, as it involves information from the phone’s contacts.
WhatsApp has frequently been introducing new feaures for its users. With a recent development the messaging platform now allows users to run two different WhatsApp accounts on a single iPhone, a feature that was previously available only on Android devices.
